Hi There!!!!

It’s Monday Morning and it’s the first day for my new blog, “Dukie’s Digest”. Of course there’s a story behind this blog and why I started it, so let me share some of that story with you.
Over 2 years ago our cocker spaniel, Samantha, crossed over the Rainbow Bridge after being with Dave (my husband) and me for 15 years. Both of us are over 60, and the loss of our Samantha left a hole in our heart. As the months past I stayed open to guidance for the direction to take. Dave said he didn’t want another dog at this stage in his life. But the “Over Sixty Crowd” can tell you loneness and depression comes like a cloud over your life. I saw the signs but waited for a message.
One morning, while surfing the web I came across a little fellow completely different than our Samantha, a male (we had always had female dogs) a mixed breed, small dog but, as it turned out, a big personality. Without saying a word to Dave, I got in the car and went to bring this little guy home.
Dave was on the patio when I got home. I handed him a cute little fur baby and I was Love At First Sight!!!
There are so many ways a pet can add to your happiness and quality of life. This blog will be about journey Dave, Dukie , and I taking.
